First time to the Dogwoods?Waterfall at the Dogwoods Mount Horeb, WI

As a new guest we would first like to thank you for choosing The Dogwoods as your pet’s home-away-from-home. We believe that your pet is going to really enjoy our fun filled days and will fit right in with all of our other guests. However, to be sure, we do require each of our new guests to undergo a guest orientation in advance of their first reservation.

What to expect during the new guest orientation

Orientation is similar to when a student visits their school or classroom before they attend the first day of class. We host orientations every Saturday and they consist of a complete a tour (for you and your pet), interview, and ends with short observation period just between your pet and our staff. This visit is approximately 2 hours and gives us the opportunity to make sure your pet’s needs can be met and social skills are in place.

There is a $20 fee associated with this orientation, however, a credit will be applied to your account to be applied to a boarding or daycare visit, if booked within thirty (30) days of the orientation. In the event it is determined that The Dogwoods is not a good fit for a new dog, the fee will be refunded in full. (“fit” is determined by the Dogwoods and is based on criteria during orientation.)

Do I need to bring anything to the orientation?

We do ask that you bring copies of your pet’s vaccination records. Specifically; we require proof of current DHLPPC, kennel cough (Bordatella), and rabies (or titer equivalent) vaccinations. Additionally, we do require that all guests over the age of 6 months must be spayed/neutered.

Unfortunately, we cannot host any pet until these records have been confirmed.

Please take a moment to request a new guest orientation for you and your pup. A member of our staff will contact you to confirm a date and time for your visit.

Thank you for considering the Dogwoods and we can’t wait to meet you and your canine!
