  • For your own pet’s well-being, as well as that of our other guests, we require proof of current DHLPPC, kennel cough (Bordatella), and rabies (or titer equivalent) vaccinations.

  • Spaying/neutering all guests must be spayed/neutered by 6 months of age.

  • During flea season (May 1 – November 1) guests must be on a flea and tick prevention program. Advantage™ and Frontline™ Top Spot are acceptable preventatives whereas flea collars and sprays are not.

  • The Dogwoods does close between 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm every day to focus on the needs of our guests. 

Cancellations

Holidays As holidays are particularly busy for us, we provide a 7 day cancellation period. Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the scheduled reservation will face no penalty, however, any cancellations after that period will result in being charged in full. The cancellation policy is in effect for the following dates for 2015:

  • Spring Break/Easter March 17, 2016 – March 28, 2016
  • Memorial Day Weekend May 26, 2016 – May 30, 2016
  • Independence Day Weekend June 30, 2016 – July 4, 2016
  • Labor Day Weekend September 1, 2016 – September 5, 2016
  • Thanksgiving November 23, 2016 – November 28, 2016
  • Christmas/New Years December 22, 2016 – January 2, 2017

Non-Holidays

Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the scheduled reservation will face no penalty, however, within 7 days of the reservation we are unable to provide a refund and will apply your deposit toward a future visit. Cancellations made 24 hours or less prior to arrival will require full payment. Should you need to cancel for any reason, cancelations can be completed by contacting us directly. New Guest orientation

We require that all new dogs intending to visit the Dogwoods first undergo a 1 on 1 visit prior to their intended stay. There is a $20 fee associated with this first visit, however, as long as a boarding or daycare visit is booked within thirty (30) days of the orientation, this fee will be applied to their first day of daycare or boarding. In the event it is determined that The Dogwoods is not a good fit for a new dog, the fee will be refunded in full. This “fit” is determined by the Dogwoods and is based on criteria during the initial orientation.

Boarding

When placing a reservation for dog boarding please note that rates are based on the following hours: Check-in/Check-out: M-F from 7:00 am – 1:00 pm and 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm Saturdays 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Sundays 7:00 am – 8:00 am In the event that your pet should stay longer: you may be billed for either a half or full day of dog daycare based on the time of departure.

Dog Daycare

Half-Day The Dogwoods does close between 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm every day to focus on the needs of our guests. This means that half-day guests need to be picked-up before 1:00 pm. In the event that they are not able to be picked-up by this time, you agree to be billed for a full day of daycare and will be able to pick-up between 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm when we open again. 

Full-Day Please note that the same terms apply for any pick-ups between 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm as mentioned in our half-day terms. Additionally, no discounts or reduced rates will be applied for late arrivals or early departures for any scheduled day of dog daycare.
